Rufftown records CEO, Bullet, is furious over the behavior of signee Fantana on social media.
The singer has over the past weeks engaged in a social media war with label mate and songstress Wendy Shay, and recently said some rather demeaning things about the label.
This forced her boss to invite her over for a meeting to terminate her contract.
According to Bullet, the label is bigger than any of the artistes signed onto it, and so no one is allowed to disrespect the label.
He further added that contrary to rumors that Fantana’s mother, who is very wealthy, gave him money before signing the singer, that he did not receive a dime from her.
Speaking on the Zionfelix uncut show, Bullet insisted that Fantana had not brought any money to him.
He said “Rufftown records is bigger than any artiste on the label. You cannot diss or disrespect any label that has helped you. What has the label done to you? What money has she brought to the label? In this label, Fantana has not brought any money to me.”
“It really hurts when I hear people say I received some money from Fantana’s mother. Fantana is a loudmouth so if there’s anything, she would have said so herself. At the end of the day, it was I who decided to help her,” the Rufftown Records CEO stated.
He recounted “the first day I went to the studio with her; I booked the session and paid with my money. At that time, I never met her mother.”
He explained “you don’t disrespect other artistes and investors in the label too. This and other stuff are the reason why I want to take her off.”
