Shola Ogudu, the mother of Wizkid’s first child, has addressed a recurring fan comment that she says is damaging to her personal image and future prospects.
The incident began when a follower using the handle @biggest_macdon_ commented under one of Shola’s Instagram posts, writing: “Iyawo Ibrahim!! Everyday is a holiday.” The term “Iyawo Ibrahim” translates to “Wife of Ibrahim,” referencing Wizkid’s real name, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun.
Clearly frustrated by the repeated remarks, Shola responded:
“I’m not one to address anything whether true or false… BUT this type of comment on every single one of my posts is actually very detrimental to me actually being ‘Iyawo somebody’ one day.
Constantly commenting stuff like this is not a good look. I actually really and truly dislike it. Let this be the last of this delusional-type comment, please. Thanks and God bless you.”
Her comment quickly went viral, with many netizens applauding her for setting healthy boundaries and speaking up against unsolicited narratives tied to her past relationship with the music star.
Shola Ogudu and Wizkid, who share a son, Boluwatife, have long maintained a cordial co-parenting relationship. However, fans often speculate about their past romance, and this latest response underscores the toll such assumptions can take on a person’s public identity and private life.
By openly addressing the issue, Shola joins a growing list of public figures pushing back against fan-driven narratives that blur the lines between admiration and intrusion.
