Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, known as Davido, has revealed how Wizkid motivated him to pursue a career in music.
Davido during an interview, naratted that while living in the United States of America, seeing young artists such as Wizkid coming up into the Nigerian music industry inspired him to become a singer.
He claimed that then, the top artists were Psquare, D’banj, and 2Baba, but the break in of Wizkid prompted his desire in the Nigerian music industry.
In his words;
“I remember being in the club then like the biggest artistes were like P Square, D’banj, even then Wizkid was like young, really young because I remember like he was just coming up in the game, so the game was coming up.
And I remember that moment I was like I want to do Nigerian music I want to get on this early, like I can really tall like is going to be big.”
