The online community’s support for Nigerian chef Hilda Effiong Bassey, also known as Hilda Baci, who is now attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, was widely shared on social media over the weekend. The 90-hour cook-a-thon, which began on May 11 in Lagos, is scheduled to last.
This has been demonstrated by the several trends on the timeline that include phrases like “Go Hilda” and “Rooting For Hilda.”
As her activity entered a 77 Minute, she received a lot of love; when she started an Instagram LIVE, ‘Essence’ hit maker Wizkid expressed his support for her.

Lata Tondon currently holds the record of cooking close to 87 hours and 45 minutes.
While in a recent interview, the foodpreneur revealed that it’s been on her mind to do this cooking thing since the time Lata won the record break.
She said, “I would say it wasn’t God’s time because when I applied that time, I was told to wait a little bit for about two years, because the person who currently holds the record had just broken it.”
It is not today that Hilda’s star has begun to shine. She has also worked as an actress and female presenter. So far, she has run two cooking shows for TV which include “In my kitchen” and “Dine On A Budget” in which she carried many celebs to talk about times for her show.
She also acted for many feems and soap operas like Dream Chaser which collected Best Movie nomination for the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA). Other feems she acted in include Sideways, Flatmates, A Walk on the Water, and Mr. & Mrs. C.J. Robert.
Hilda Baci also served the country when she won the 2021 edition of Jollof Wars.
The Guinness Book of Records, often known as the Guinness World Records, is a reference book that contains human and natural world records. The records include a wide range, from the world’s largest and smallest things, to the quickest and slowest, to the most weird and unusual accomplishments.
Individuals or groups must submit proof to the Guinness World Records team and go through a verification process to qualify for a world record listing. When a record is validated, it is put into the book and becomes an official world record.
