Nigerian singer and Big Brother Naija reality TV winner, Hazel Oyeze Onou, who is known as White Money, has apologized to those who may have been offended by his remarks about women during an interview on the Nedu podcast.
The apologies video comes after several backlashes following his comments on OAP Nedu’s ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, where he made some claims about women.
On the podcast, white money disregarded the women of BBNaija, saying they joined the reality show for frivolous reasons and not to sell themselves for prospects outside the house.
He further stated that many ladies don’t want to work, but always ask him to introduce them to his rich friends. This statement and others have caused criticism, as they are seen as “insulting” remarks about women.
In a trending video on internet on the 28/3/2023, White money said he was misunderstood by many and never intended to belittle women rather, to encourage the men, and some of them got the message.
White Money also apologized to all parties involved, including Victoria Inyama and others, in a follow-up live video with Daddy Freeze that many people didn`t see.
He further stated that he would never speak out against women because they raised him and were such an important part of his career, therefore he apologized to people he may have offended with his words.
“I will never slander women, I will never talk bad about women, I was raised by women, I love women, my team is filled with women, and I don’t have anything against women. Women have been a major part of my career and I appreciate every single woman in my life that I’ve come across and yet to come across. So I’m sorry to all the woman who feel insulted, I didn’t mean to insult anybody intentionally, I’m not above mistakes, I’m not perfect, thank you very much, let love lead.”
