The video from 2019 was recently uploaded on YouTube, showing the WWE superstars John Cena and Sheamus—aka The Celtic Warrior—highlighting John Cena’s barbell snatch method (aka the snatch to overhead squat).
It was from a workout the pair did together.
According to Cena, “The first exercise is a two-stage snatch.”
He says “So we’re going to start from the knee just to warm up the movement, and then from the floor.”
He moved on with his warmup with a series of snatches, progressively putting more weight on his bar.
“This is a warmup that I wouldn’t normally do, I’m doing it for you because you don’t do this lift,” Cena tells Sheamus. “Its basically just repeating the movement as much as you can with lighter weight to get familiar with the motion.”
