American songstress, Katy Perry, has released her new single dubbed: Daisies.
Daisies begins Perry’s fifth album cycle.
It prepares fans for her yet-to-be titled new LP’s release on August 14.
“Daisies” is a considered an empowering song about the strength of the human spirit.
It comes with the same style of Perry’s hit “Roar.”
In the song, Perry, who seemed pregnant, reflect on how she has gotten herself back off the ground when she’s been knocked down.
She sings beautifully, “They said I’m going nowhere tried to count me out.”
“Took those sticks and stones, showed ’em I could build a house/They tell me that I’m crazy, but I’ll never let them change me/’Til they cover me in daisies, daisies, daisies.”
The video was shot and produced by director Liza Voloshin from a safe social distance.
