Movie star Van Vicker has joined forces with legendary actor Kekura K. Kamara to remake the critically acclaimed first successful Liberian Tv series “Malawala Balawala”
The anticipated remake of the classic Liberian Tv series “Malawala Balawala”, will see the series with a new title “Balawala Malawala Reloaded”.
The development was revealed by multiple awards winning movies star Van Vicker at the 1st edition of the Liberia Film Awards. The movie is set to feature actors/actresses from the original film and also some new ones.
The series “Malawala Balawala” have stayed popular due to their unique original storytelling, creativity and accessibility. They were cultural productions reflecting the lived experiences of Liberians. They also expressed societal and cultural aspirations, while providing relatable entertainment.
