UK To Scrap “Red List” for International Travel

The United Kingdom (UK) government has disclosed it is scrapping the red list for international travel.

This was announced today by health secretary Sajid Javid.

The move comes in response to the rapid global spread of the omicron coronavirus variant, which ministers admit has rendered the strictest travel restrictions unnecessary.

Earlier this month 11 African countries were put on “red list” by the UK government in relation to the new covid 19 variant -Omicron.

But the World Health Organisation(WHO) and top scientists across the globe slammed the UK and other countries for new travel restrictions as “pointless” and “too late” as the new variant has already spread everywhere.

The time for the end of the red list will be from 4am on December 15th, 2021.
