The United Kingdom and Nigeria have signed a new agreement aimed at fighting the menace of illegal migration.
UK’s Home Secretary, Priti Patel, announced the signing of the deal in a Tweet.
According to her, the “landmark agreement with Nigeria will increase the deportation of dangerous foreign criminals”.

The announcement was made on Thursday, June 30, 2022, hours after the UK deported some 10 Nigerians for alleged immigration-related offences
