The European Football governing body, UEFA, is due to provide an update on the verdict for the finishing of the 2019/2020 season.
The update, according to reports, is to be done via a video conference this afternoon, Thursday, April 23.
UEFA is about making one of the most controversial football decisions of all time, by possibly allowing Manchester United and Arsenal to qualify for the 2020/2021 Champions league and Chelsea and Tottenham who should ideally qualify for Champions League, now likely to play Europa League.
Professional football across England has been postponed since March 13, due to coronavirus.
With no set date for when English football will resume, there remain fears that the remaining matches of the season could be cancelled, reports Football.London.
The UEFA meeting today, report say, will set out to discuss how and when the season will end and which leagues are preferring to end their season early.
It will then seek to discuss what the implications of those outcomes will be on clubs, players and fans alike.
