U.S. Global Anti-Corruption Coordinator, USAID Anti-Corruption Task Force ED To Visit Liberia

The United States Coordinator on Global Anti-Corruption, Richard Nephew and USAID Senior Advisor to the Administrator and Executive Director of the Anti-Corruption Task Force (ACTF) Shannon Green is expected in Liberia from March 13-15, 2023.

Their visit, according to a dispatched will underscore the U.S. government’s commitment to anti-corruption and good governance through the newly released U.S. Strategy on Countering Corruption.

Accordingly, Coordinator Nephew and ACTF Executive Director Green will meet with representatives from Liberian integrity institutions, civil society organizations, the media, and the country’s National Legislature.

The Coordinator on Global Anti-Corruption position integrates and elevates the fight against corruption across all aspects of U.S. diplomacy and foreign assistance, while the Executive Director of USAID’s Anti-Corruption Task Force leads USAID’s implementation of the U.S. Strategy on Countering Corruption.

Furthermore, U.S President, Joe Biden has made preventing and countering corruption and demonstrating the advantages of transparent and accountable governance a top Administration priority.
