Elon Musk has announced that X will open-source its entire recommendation algorithm within seven days, including the exact code that determines which posts go viral, which accounts gain visibility, and how advertisements are served to users.

Even more striking is that this disclosure will not be a one-off event. According to Musk, X plans to release updated versions of the algorithm every four weeks, accompanied by detailed developer notes explaining what was changed and the reasons behind those changes.
