Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott, known for their humor, announced the nominees during a January 23 live telecast. The upcoming ceremony, hosted by Conan O’Brien, will celebrate films like A Real Pain, The Brutalist, and Wicked. Bowen and Rachel lightened the mood with playful banter as they tackled the pronunciations of various nominees.

The announcement came during a tough time for Hollywood, as recent wildfires devastated parts of Los Angeles, including Billy Crystal’s home. The Academy expressed its condolences on January 10, offering resources to support those affected and urging donations.

The Oscars continue to honor the best in cinema, with last year’s ceremony spotlighting Emma Stone and Cillian Murphy for leading roles and Oppenheimer earning seven awards, joining the ranks of the most decorated films in history. As always, being nominated remains an honor in itself.
