The internet has been buzzing for hours none stop following what can be termed a racist attack against a South African in Amsterdam. The victim is fast rising filmmaker, Sibalhe Nkumbi who visited the city for a friend’s art exhibition.

According to confirmed sources and Sibalhe’s friends who filmed the attack which happened on Saturday, the host of the Airbnb with the assistance of her husband  pushed Sibalhe down the staircase because she was a few minutes late to check out.

Thankfully, Sibalhe survived the attacked with a concussion and bruises to her face and arms. In a video shared on YouTube, she confirmed the attacks saying “We knew we were late. We heard the bell ring. The lady was clearly upset… she said this is not acceptable, you need to pack and leave now. I apologised profusely for us being late.”

Nkumbi says she and her companions were in the middle of leaving when the woman returned with her husband, who was visibly angry and shortly became abusive. She continues ” She called us ‘you people’  and said “you are not the queen you think you are… this is not Africa”.

In the midst of the racist statements, Sibalhe maintained her cool, resolving to leave quietly but then the man grabbed her as she passed him on the stairs. See viral video:
