    South Africa Revokes Nightclub’s permit to sell alcoholic beverages after 21 people die from suspected poisoning


    A nightclub in South Africa has seen its permit to sell alcoholic beverages being revoked following the deaths of some 21 people.

    Most of the people who died in the tragic incident over the weekend, African Entertainment understands, were teenagers.

    The tragedy occurred at the Tavern, and the cause of deaths still remain unknown.

    The 21 persons were said to have died after a party on Saturday night at the Tavern.

    Forensic investigators are reportedly carrying out their work to ascertain the cause of the tragedy.

    Meanwhile, the liquor board of South Africa has indicated that the nightclub owner will face criminal charges after the underage patrons died at the premises, with residents reportedly demanding for the nightclub to be shut down.

    South African authorities suspect the deaths could be linked to poisoning.
