The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has warned individuals who are reportedly refusing to re-register their sim cards in a bid to avoid repaying their mobile money loans.
According to the Central Bank, data on all mobile money loan customers are domiciled in the databases of credit bureaus.
As a result, the BoG says in its statement sighted by www.africanentertainment.com, that failure to repay such loans will attract negative repercussions on borrowers’ credit report/history and could subsequently adversely affect any chances of obtaining loans facilities from other financial institutions and credit provider in future.
