In a remarkable display of international cooperation and commitment to enhancing air transport services, Sierra Leone’s Minister of Transport and Aviation, Alhaji Fanday Turay, recently had the privilege of hosting the Chief Commercial Officer and the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for West Africa from Ethiopian Airlines. This partnership aims to bring world-class air transport services, catering to both passengers and cargo, to Sierra Leone.
Minister Turay expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting that during their meeting, a wide range of crucial issues were discussed, all with the common goal of mutual benefit for Sierra Leone and Ethiopia. This dialogue reflects the dedication of both nations to strengthening their ties in the field of aviation.
The Minister emphasized the productive nature of their discussions, emphasizing the commitment to delivering on the promises of President Julius Maada Bio’s administration. With great determination, he declared, “Paopa, we will continue to deliver for President Julius Maada Bio.” This commitment to fulfilling President Bio’s vision for Sierra Leone was palpable in the Minister’s words.
Minister Turay also expressed his eagerness to tackle the transportation and aviation challenges facing Sierra Leone. He stated firmly, “I can’t wait. I will fix the transport and aviation problem in Sierra Leone.” This resolve demonstrates the government’s proactive stance in addressing the issues that have hindered the country’s air transport sector for far too long.
