Shatta Wale Rallies Support For Poor Ghanaians

Ghanaian reggae-dancehall artist, Shatta Wale, is rallying support for the needy in Ghana as the country combats coronavirus.

Four major cities of Ghana namely Accra, Kumasi, Tema and Kasoa are under lockdown due to Covid-19.

Thousands of poor residents in these cities are struggling to survive as they are urged to stay home while health officials fight the virus head-on.

Ghana has recorded some 566 cases of coronavirus with eight deaths.

In a tweet on Monday, April 13, Shatta says Ghanaians needed to support each other.

He wrote: we are all Ghanaians and we need to support each other and the government on times like these.”

“Let’s all donate to support the needy in every small ways we can?.Stay home and stay safe,” he tweet after performing at the virtual launch of Ghana’s Covid-19 Tracker App.
