Shallipopi’s highly anticipated single, “Laho,” has been reinstated on Spotify after a brief removal. The song, released on last week, marked his first single of the year and quickly gained traction on TikTok following social media teasers.

However, just a day after its release, “Laho” was unexpectedly removed from popular music streaming service.
Fortunately, the single has now been restored. While Shallipopi has not publicly addressed the reason for the takedown, speculation points to potential contractual disputes with his former label, Dapper Music, from which he departed before the end of his contract.
“Laho” is Shallipopi’s first release since his controversial split from Dapper Music, citing issues such as lack of financial transparency, conflict of interest, and attempts to impose a perpetual contract.
Despite the recent hiccup, 2025 is proving to be a promising year for Shallipopi. He recently received six nominations for the 17th Headies Awards, including a nomination for the prestigious Next Rated Prize.
“Laho” follows his November 2024 collaboration with Olamide, “Order,” and serves as a lead single for his upcoming album, expected to be released later in 2025.
Shallipopi announced the news of the reinstating of the new single writing:
