Nigerian- British Soul Singer, Sade Adu is set to release an original song after 7 long years of silence. The veteran singer who has managed to stay away from the music scene despite having decades of hit songs in her name will be performing an original song for American science fantasy adventure film, “A Wrinkle in Time”.
The surprising news of Sade Adu’s new music was revealed on Twitter by the film director, Ava DuVernay where she shared:
I never thought she’d say yes, but asked anyway. She was kind + giving. A goddess. We began a journey together that I’ll never forget. Slated to hit the cinemas on the 6th of March, “A Wrinkle in Time” features other super star singer’s like Sia, DJ Khaled, Demi Lovata and famous music composer, Ramin Djawadi, famous for composing the Soundtrack of TV series, “Game of Thrones” and of course our very own Sade Adu.
The movie stars multiple award winning broadcaster, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, among others. The movie is based on a 1962 novel of the same name by Madeleine L’Engle.
