President George Weah releases new music to sensitize Liberians and the world about coronavirus

Liberia’s President Weah is taking the lead in redefining proactivity in the global fight against the novel coronavirus.

A few hours ago, the Liberian President released a music video for a new song, Let Stand Together to Fight Coronavirus. The new music featuring The Rabbi’s is primarily to sensitize Liberians and the world at large on the need to come together to fight against the virus while educating listeners with tips on how to prevent the virus.

Watch the video:

Citizens have reacted to the video by lauding the President’s first of its kind initiative especially the consideration that music is a universal language with the ability to reach Liberians faster and more consistently than a public address would.

Recall that barely 24 hours ago, president Weah declared a three-week state of emergency in Liberia in a bid to control the inflow of visitors into the republic. The directive also involved the lockdown of 4 counties.  The country is currently taking stricter measures to keep the virus away. Since March, Liberia has recorded a handful of confirmed cases.
