Clubs in the English Premier League are to vote on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, on whether or not Close-Contact Training should be allowed in the League.

The United Kingdom Government has already
given go-ahead for ‘close-contact’ and ‘competitive’ training for sport.

The Government published guidelines for elite athletes to begin a “carefully phased return to training”.

Contributing to the guidelines are public health officials and sports medical officers.

The guidelines accordingly permit organised and close-contact training to take place under carefully controlled medical conditions.

Professional sports in the UK are nearing return after they were suspended due to coronavirus.

Clubs in the Premier League returned to training a few days back in socially distanced small groups.
