The National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay, has kicked-off his pre-election nationwide tour.
Chairman Blay started the tour on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.
His first port of call for the tour was the Oti Region.
The tour is to afford the ruling NPP’s chairman the opportunity to assess at first hand, the readiness of the party machinery ahead of the December 7, 2020 presidential and Parliamentary elections.
While in the Oti Region, Mr Blay held a meeting at Nkwanta, with the Regional executives, Constituency executives, Regional minister and his deputy, District Chief executives from the 8 Districts, CEOs and deputy CEOs from various state institutions and some members of the regional campaign team.
He appealed to the party’s leadership and the parliamentary candidates to put aside their differences and work together in the interest of the NPP.
Aside the meeting with the party executives, Mr Blay also met some identifiable groups, including Muslim leaders, Deputy Regional chief Imam, Saraki Zongo Chief and some leaders of the Kotokori community.
He encouraged the leaders to pray for peaceful elections.
Mr Blay was accompanied by some key Government Officials including Dr Dominic Eduah, Executive Director of GNPC Foundation, Dr Charles Dwamena, Deputy Ambassador to China, and Dr Richard Asante Yeboah, Deputy National Communications Director and Government spokesperson on infrastructure.
