Nigeria closes all schools in Abuja over fears of terror attacks

 

Authorities in Nigeria have asked for schools in the country’s capital, Abuja, to closed.

The authorities have ordered schools in nearby Nasarawa state to be shut and for children to be sent home.

The directive came as intelligence reports suggest armed groups are planning attacks in several states, including Abuja.

African Entertainment understands that Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, is holding talks with top security officers.

Reports suggest that residents in residents in Abuja have been living in fear after armed men broke into a prison in the city and released hundreds of criminals a few weeks ago.

Last Sunday, three soldiers from an elite unit of Nigeria’s presidential guards were killed in the Bwari district of the city.

Schools in Abuja were actually scheduled to close for the term next week. Others have already closed for the term.
