Miss Earth Liberia Unveils 25-Seater Bus -In Celebration of Its 5-year Bicentenary

LA Queen Entertainment has unveiled a 25-seater bus as means of easing the transportation burden of the Miss Earth Liberia contestants and staff.

The unveiling of the new customized bus recently, by LA Queen Entertainment at the Ellen Johnson Ministerial Complex in Congo Town, was also part of celebration marking its five years of existence.

La Queen Entertainment, founded by former Miss Liberia, Wokie Dolo in 2018, is a non political, non religious, non ethnic and non factional entity for talent discovery across the country, while the Miss Earth Liberia is the official title given to Liberia’s delegate to the Miss Earth pageant.

Additionally, the pageant focuses mainly on promoting environmental causes and winners are chosen equally on their physical attributes as well as their understanding and knowledge of the issues affecting the earth.

Furthermore, in 2005, the Miss Earth Liberia franchise was obtained by Beauties of Africa Inc, owned by Andy A. Abulime. However, the first year Liberia sent a representative to Miss Earth was in 2006 with Rachel Bidmia Njinimbam as the first Miss Earth Liberia titleholder.

Fast forward, in 2018, Wokie Dolo, former Miss World Liberia 2017 and owner of La Queen Entertainment then serve as the National Director. The pageant was formed in partnership with The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA); winner automatically becomes the ambassador of the EPA.

As means of motivation, Liberia’s President, George M. Weah in September of 2020 congratulated the winners of Miss Earth Liberia 2020 for promoting the country’s tourism industry as part of the United Nations World Tourism Organization’s World Tourism Day.

The Liberian leader in addition also recorded a song titled: “Da Who Will Win” and dedicated it to the contestants of Miss Earth Liberia pageant.

Officially unveiling the van, the owner of La Queen Entertainment, Wokie Dolo stated that the bus came at the time when needed the most and assured that it will be used for its purpose intended for.

The usage of the bus, Wokie who is also the National Director of Miss Earth Liberia maintained that the bus will be used to commutes participants of Miss Earth Liberia for practices and field trips as part of the preparation for the pageant.

“But I’m so very much excited about this grate achievement, as being the first entertainment group in Liberia to unveil its own vehicle. This is a beautiful moment that we’ve come to give an account of our five years of service to promote pageantry and young women in Liberia,” she said.

According to her, LA Queen Entertainment was established officially in 2019 to expose talented young girls through positive actions and pageantry as Liberia’s only environmental women empowerment platform that remains consistent to shifting the well-being of young Liberian ladies.

She then expressed her gratitude to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for being a major partner in ensuring that Miss Earth Liberia is hosted annually in the country.

In remark, Miss Earth Liberia 2021 winner, Odella Flomo said, “La Queen for the past two years have been like a parent outside of the home and have thought several lessons about disciplines for young women to emulate and be a woman of substance in Liberia.”

Odella Flomo who also used the occasion and urged other young Liberian girls to take advantage of the pageant further expressed joy for being a part of history-making and the legacy of LA Queen Entertainment.
