It is a motivational Tuesday from the desk of Ghallywood BBB actress, Lydia Forson. The award winning actress took to her Instagram earlier today to share how being body shamed and denied a movie role did not deter her from accepting/loving her body and going on to be one of Ghana’s most sought after actresses with multiple awards to show for it.
Lydia Forson ‘s inspiring message reads “I was rejected NOT because I wasn’t good enough for the role, but because I didn’t fit into the producers idea of what a ‘beautiful’ woman looks like. (mind you I know I’m fcking ?) But guess what?
This big ass and tits won me an AFRICA MOVIE ACADEMY AWARD, AFRICA INT. FILM FESTIVAL AWARD, GHANA MOVIE AWARD, SUPER WOMAN AWARD, CITY PEOPLE AWARD, FASHION ICON AWARD and a Your Father is drooling over me MEGA AWARD. It’s OK if I’m not your cup of tea; just know you’re not my kettle of hot water for my tea either. I don’t have a problem with my body, you do; so go and FIX your problem.
It’s no news that Lydia Forson is a strong advocate of anti-body shaming especially on social media. Most of her controversies in the past few years involved either addressing a troll for body shaming her or addressing the entertainment industries bias especially on plus size actresses.
A good thing she adorns herself with the cloak of confidence!
