Luxury designer brand, Louis Vuitton, has announced that it is venturing into the manufacturing of nonsurgical face masks and hospital gowns.
The French company made this known in a statement.
It says the masks and gowns are to help with the fight against Covid19.
It says workshops are being converted into mass production hubs
It stated that changes have already been made in French workshops and that 50,000 gowns have already been donated to Paris hospital staff.
In a related report, the Dallas News says a factory in Johnson County, Texas, as well as workshops in New Jersey and California, will also be used to produce masks, which will be distributed in the U.S.
“Masks will be donated and distributed in states currently most heavily impacted by COVID-19, and Louis Vuitton will partner with local organizations in each state leading the COVID-19 response effort,” according to Louis Vuitton.
