Liz Sanya Concludes 72-Hour Guinness World Record Attempt for World’s Largest Sandal

Trailblazing young fashion designer Liz Sanya has achieved an extraordinary milestone: completing her attempt for the Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Sandal.

Her creation, a bold pink clog measuring an astonishing 4.8 meters (15 feet 9 inches) in length, was crafted over three intense days in Lagos. The monumental project drew support from a vibrant community of fans and celebrities, including music stars Mayorkun, Pheelz, P.Priime, and Taves, as well as music entrepreneur Bizzle Osikoya, filmmaker Korty, and many others who rallied around Liz to celebrate her groundbreaking ambition.

The journey to this incredible feat began on January 2nd at 5 p.m. and concluded on January 4th after a grueling 72 hours of dedication and craftsmanship. Reflecting on the achievement and her relentless passion for design, Liz shared her heartfelt thoughts:

“I’ll never be able to put into words what any of this means to me. I started designing shoes when I was 12, and by 14, I was selling them to fund a ‘habit’ I couldn’t afford. None of this has been possible without the support and compassion of the people who see me and believe in my vision.

Ibadan… where I was born. Lagos… where I was inspired. It was only right to come back home and prove it. One world record to beat, within 72 hours…”

The pink clog stands not just as a massive fashion statement but also as a testament to Liz’s innovation, perseverance, and the strong sense of identity rooted in her Nigerian heritage. Her journey from a young shoe designer to a Guinness World Record achiever is a shining example of what can be accomplished with vision and community support.
