Liberia Amputees Football Delegation Departs For Turkey 2022 World Cup

A 22-man Liberia’s Amputees Football delegation has departed the country to participate in the 2022 Amputees World Cup in Turkey.

They left on early Wednesday, 28 September through Robert International Airport and will transit to Casablanca, Morocco before reaching its final destination.

The delegation comprise of players, technical staff, and officials, and are headed by Deputy Youth and Sports Minister for Administration Adrian Smith-Forbes, Assistant Sports Minister James Toe, President of Liberia Amputees Football and Sports Association, Cooper Doree George, Vice President for Operations Morris Koikoi, head Coach Victor Benson and Medic Koka Waquoi.

The players include Prince Wymah captain, Matthew Joe, Darlington Sebeh, Morelia Boakai, Emmanuel providence, Emmanuel Nyumah, Joe Dickson, Jerome Tokpah, Benedict Kollie Delving Jusu, Jutomu Kollie, Francis Fallah, and Morris Dukuly.

Liberia is drawn in group A alongside hosts Turkey, Haiti, and France, but their opening match will be against Haiti on 30 September.
