Millions of Kenyans are queuing today, August 9, 2022 to elect a new President.
Members of Parliament are also being elected across Kenya today.
At least three of the four presidential candidates have voted so far. One presidential candidate, George Wajackoyah has not cast his ballots as he was affected by malfunctioning ID verification kits.
The two main Presidential candidates are ex-Prime Minister Raila Odinga and current Deputy President William Ruto.
Reports indicate that voters in north-eastern areas along the border with Somalia, have been affected by reported attacks and intimidation tactics by suspected al-Shabab militants.
