Just Sam Wins ‘American Idol’ 2020; Arthur Gunn Fans Can’t Believe It


Just Sam has been declared winner of the 2020 edition of the iconic ‘American Idol’.

And fans of Arthur Gunn are finding it hard to believe that.

Emotions are flaring up over the finale results announced on Sunday night amid the pandemic.

The 2020 edition is the 18th season and third on ABC, with Just Sam beating out finalist Arthur Gunn for the top spot.

Just Sam was announced winner by host of ‘American Idol’, Ryan Seacrest.

Just Sam garnered the most real-time votes during Sunday night’s finale.

But that came with several performances from Just Sam during the evening, taking on classic hits like “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” by Kelly Clarkson and”Rise Up” by Andra Day.

During the evening, she also sang Lauren Daigle’s “You Say” with the Grammy-winning artist herself and performed a special rendition of “We Are the World” with Lionel Richie, Ruben Studdard, Katherine McPhee, and other greats from Idol history.

Just Sam had to beat out the rest of the top 7 finalists, including Arthur Gunn, Dillon James, Just Sam, Louis Knight, Francisco Martin, Jonny West, and Julia Gargano, before becoming this year’s winner.

Just Sam’s fans were beyond excited the moment her name was announced as the winner.
