Montserrado County District 10 Representative candidate, Josephine Davies has announced her commitment to developing education and healthcare facilities in District 10 if elected.
The Ministry of Commerce former Inspector General and an esteemed community leader and advocate for public welfare also expressed her resolute mission to bring lasting positive change to the district beginning 2024.
Speaking over the weekend, at the newly inaugurated campaign office in the heart of Peace Island Community, the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) candidate also vowed to advocate for the development of the District both local and international.
Recognizing the vital importance of access to quality education, Davies outlined her plans to construct a state-of-the-art school that meets the educational needs of the District 10 community.
She emphasized that every child, regardless of their background, should have the opportunity to receive an excellent education, stressing that by investing in education, the district would not only empower its youth but also foster a more prosperous future for the entire community.
The proposed school, according the madam Davies aims to combine modern learning techniques with a comprehensive curriculum that prepares students for the challenges of the 21st century.
She also highlighted the significance of providing a stimulating learning environment equipped with advanced technologies and dedicated educators, as well as the purchasing of a 10 seated buss intended to commute students and instructors.
Davies at the same time emphasized that the hospital would not only provide critical healthcare facilities but also create employment opportunities, invigorate the local economy, and attract skilled healthcare professionals to the District.
She expressed her intention to establish a transparent and inclusive approach that solicits input from all members of the district, ensuring that the school and hospital truly inclduing projects that will be initiated by her office serve the needs of the community.
Meanwhile, during the campaign office inauguration, the CDC candidate also outlined her fundamental principles of good governance, emphasizing transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership.
She pledged to make District 10 a shining example of a well-governed community, where the interests and aspirations of its residents are at the forefront of all decision-making processes.
The upcoming elections in District 10 promise to be an exciting and decisive moment for its residents, madam Davies faces serious challenge from the incumbent Representative, Yekeh Kolubah who has been very vocal against the CDC government for bad governance and other ills affecting the the country.
Meanwhile, two of Liberia’s living Legends Takun J & DenG, in a spectacular show of support for madam Davies also took to the stage at the event, thus leaving on the lips of cheering partisans with their new song for madam Davies tittle: “That Jojo We Want.”
Additionally, the evening was filled with excitement and enthusiasm as the two talented performers captivated the audience with their electrifying performances, and withTakun J, the King of Hip-hop music in Liberia and known for his diverse style and thought-provoking lyrics, kicked off the event with a high-energy performance.
