Inter Milan have lifted the Coppa Italia trophy for the first time in over a decade.
That was after their resounding 4 – 2 victory over rivals Juventus on Wednesday Night, May 11, 2022.
Milan are second placed in the Seria A this season, only two points behind League leaders, AC Milan who are topping the 2021/2022 Serie A table with 80 points, with two games to go before the season ends.
Inter took an early lead against Juventus in the Coppa Italia final when N. Barella scored in the sixth minute.
Juventus equalized in the 50th minute with a goal from A. Sandro, momentarily taking the lead from Inter in the 52nd minute as D. Vlahovic scored.
Inter leveled the score in the 80th minute as H. Calhanoglu superbly netted a penal.
Nine minutes into the extra time, Inter Milan regained the leading, making it 3 – 2 in the 99th minute when Perisic scored yet another penalty.
In the 102th minute, Perisic scored his second goal of the night and the 4th for Inter Milan.
