Out of the initial 24 contestants who embarked on this journey, the field narrowed down to six finalists following the evictions of Angel, Venita, and Soma. The final contenders included Cross, Merce Eke, Adekunle, Pere, CeeC, and Ilebaye. Ultimately, it was Ilebaye who clinched the coveted N120 million prize.
The thrilling night commenced with Cross’s eviction, followed by Pere’s departure, leaving CeeC, Mercy, and Ilebaye as the top three finalists. This marked a historic moment in the annals of Big Brother Naija, as it was the first time that the top three finalists were all female.
Cynthia Nwadiora, a 30-year-old contestant known as CeeC, was the next to be eliminated, leaving Mercy Eke and Ilebaye as the final two competitors. Among the six finalists, Ilebaye was the sole contestant who had never previously reached the finals. In the previous season (Season 7), she was the third housemate to be evicted, departing so early that she barely left an impression on the show’s fans.
Ilebaye was born in Lokoja, Kogi State, in 2001 and belongs to the Igala tribe. Her remarkable journey to victory in the Big Brother Naija All Star season will undoubtedly be a memorable chapter in her life.
Congratulations from us all at AE, Ilebaye.
