Holidaymakers warned demanding cash refunds could lead to travel industry ‘collapse’


Thousands of holidays have been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic and now Brits are struggling to get their money back with many being offered credit refund notes.

Holidaymakers have been warned if they demand a cash refund for their cancelled holidays it could lead to parts of the travel industry collapsing.

Many Brits have been desperately trying to get their money back from tour operators and airlines for cancelled holidays since the government advised all but essential travel in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Some customers have been offered credit note refunds which can then be used to rebook for a later date or exchange for a cash refund.
