Gov’t Appoints Asamoah Gyan As Tourism Ambassador, Tasks Him To Bring 2 Million Tourists To Ghana

The Government of Ghana has appointed former footballer, Asamoah Gyan as Ghana’s Tourism Ambassador.

Mr. Gyan, an ex-captain of the Ghana national men’s soccer team, the Black Stars, was appointed by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Arts.

Minister of Tourism, Ibrahim Awal conferred on Gyan, the Tourism Ambassador role, adorning him with the ‘Beyond The Return’ sash.

Gyan, also known as baby jet, recently had a successful launch of his autobiography, bringing into Ghana several top former African footballers including Togo’s Emmanuel Adebayor and Senegal’s El Hadji Diouf.

And he has been tasked by the Ghanaian Government to bring in at least two million tourists to Ghana in 2022.
