The Johns Hopkins University made this known in its latest update.
Deaths in the US are inching closer 100,000 while Nigeria has recorded new deaths, taking its tally to 233 and its total confirmed cases at 8,068.
Britain on May 25, reported 121 new deaths, pushing its total fatalities to 36,914. The UK’s total confirmed cases hovers around 261,184.
Total confirmed covid-19 cases globally stands at 5,498, 849.
Affected regions or countries remain 188.
Ghana cases as at May 25, 2020, were 6,808, with 32 deaths and 2,070 recoveries. Its Greater Accra Region leads the infections chart with 4,836 confirmed cases.
