Globally confirmed cases of coronavirus are gradually hitting the grim 8 million mark.
African Entertainment’s checks on the Johns Hopkins University’s official website revealed that total confirmed cases worldwide now stands at 7,14,188.
According to the University, deaths related to the virus worldwide now stand at 433,458.
Affected countries remain 188, it says.
Breakdown
In the US, the University says there are at least
2,094,058 cases of coronavirus. The US also has 115,732 deaths related to the virus, and as of Saturday, coronavirus cases were still rising in at least 18 states.
In Africa, Ghana’s President, Nana Akufo-Addo reported on Sunday night, June 14, 2020, that his country has seen a rise in its coronavirus, saying total confirmed cases were 11,964, with 58 deaths.
Nigeria’s confirmed cases have increased to 16,085, and deaths in the country are now 420.

Over the weekend,
