The Ghanaian Government has urged organizations and individuals in Ghana
to ensure social distancing while distributing relief packs to the vulnerable during the coronavirus period.
A number of organizations and individuals have been distributing relief items particularly food to the less privileged in Ghana in the wake of coronavirus in the country.
Ghana has recorded 566 confirmed cases of coronavirus and eight deaths.
The West African nation’s
Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, made the appeal on behalf of his government.
In a tweet on Monday, April 13, he says “we encourage all who are involved in distributing relief packs to the vulnerable to ensure social distancing is observed.”
He warned that “else your efforts will be counter productive.”
