Ghana has launched a Gh¢ 1 billion Coronavirus Alleviation Programme to support businesses.
The Programme was unveiled by Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-Addo, in the national capital on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.
According to Mr. Akufo-Addo, the Scheme is being provided to micro, small and medium-scale businesses around Ghana.

“It is anticipated that the entire Scheme will attract some one hundred and eighty thousand (180,000) beneficiaries across the country,” he said.
Vice President Bawumia seated at the launch which took place at the Jubilee House, the seat of Government in Ghana.
” I urge all beneficiaries to use the funds received for the intended purpose, so that, together, we can work to grow our economy once again,” according to him.
