Ghana Tests 7,461 Persons For Covid-19


Some 7, 461 persons have been tested in Ghana for coronavirus.

They are out of a total of
15, 000 persons whose blood samples were collected for testing.

The samples as a result of contact tracing being carried out in the West African nation.

Ghana’s Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, made this known at a press briefing in Accra on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.

Out of the number tested so far, 14 individuals are reported to have tested positive to the virus.

Ghana has so far recorded 287 cases with the Greated Accra Region alone recording 256.

Some five deaths are related to the coronavirus in the country, the Ghana Health Service says.
