Ghana Reopens Passport Offices


Applicants can now visit the various passport offices nationwide for passport services, but of course with adherence to covid-19 preventive measures.

Ghana has reopened its passport offices after weeks of closure due to coronavirus outbreak.

The country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the reopening of passport offices across the country, saying its effective May 18, 2020.

The offices were closed earlier this year due to the coronavirus outbreak.

But in a statement issued on Monday, May 18, the Ministry announced the reopening the offices.

But the announcement came with warning that without masks on, applicants will not be allowed access to the various offices, the general public would be required to comply with the coronavirus prevention measures.

It says the online applications would resume on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.
