Ghana Armed Forces have embarked on a massive clean up exercise in the nation’s capital, Accra.
The mass sweeping exercise held on Saturday, April 4, formed part of efforts to prevent the spread of diseases including coronavirus.
With the two weeks partial lockdown in major cities of the West African nation, efforts are being made to take advantage of the decongestions of the cities to clean up and the soldiers are lending their full support.
The Ghana Armed Forces collaborated with the Accra Metropolitan Assembly in undertaking the exercise.
Major markets across the city including the Makola Market located in the Central Business District of Accra were all cleaned.
