Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has expressed regret over fuel scarcity in Nigeria as a result of President Bola Tinubu’s plan to remove subsidies.
The Nigeria president-elect, Bola Tinubu on May 29, during his inauguration speech, declared that subsidies will be abolished under his reign.
Tiwa Savage, who just came back from vacation in Brazil, expressed her frustration with the fuel shortage and other concerns through her social media pages.
There are long queues forming at gas stations, and some people started stockpiling gasoline.
The singer also lamented the fact that a terrible road had damaged one of her car’s tires.
Tiwa said that due to the difficulty in Nigeria, she would avoid social media and begin making plans to return to Brazil.
Tiwa wrote;
“Literally less than an hour back in Naija and one of my car tyres gone. Other car now in the queue for fuel. Issue with electricity in my house.
“I’m logging off and going back to where I came from because…”
