EXCLUSIVE: Covid-19 has proven events can start without filled auditoriums – Naa Ashorkor

When things return to normal, events in the country can start even without filled auditoriums in order not to prolong shows, event MC and broadcaster, Naa Ashorkor, has opined.

According to her, shows must start on time and go on.

The highly-acclaimed MC was the co-host for the just ended virtual 3 music awards, describing the task as challenging.

She told africanentertainment.com “well, it’s an empty auditorium so definitely weird.”

Naa Ashorkor sharing her experience with africanentertainment.com said after announcing a winner she expected to hear an applause. But after a few announcements she just had to imagine the applause.”

She however sid that the success of the event was clear evidence that shows can go on without filled auditorums.

Speaking to africanentertainment.com after the event she said “that with or without an audience, the show must and can go on.”

She went on “when things return to normal, we need not wait for the auditorium to be full and start events late . We must start on time. The show can go on.”

Naa Ashorkor shot to fame after starring in the movie Perfect Picture (2009), which won her the Best Actress in Leading Role Award at the African Movie Academy Awards.

She appeared in ‘Adams Apples’; an Award-Winning Ghanaian Movie Series by Sparrow Productions that run from 2010 – 2013.

She is the host of ‘Showbiz AZ’, a weekly entertainment review radio program on Joy 99.7 FM and is both the executive producer and presenter of ‘Just The Law’, a legal education talk show aimed at teaching the viewer basic principles of civil and criminal law in a simplified manner.
