Those looking to jam in night clubs in Ghana still have to wait as clubs are to remain closed until probably after May 31, 2020.

The Government of Ghana through the ministry of tourism, arts and culture, has announced that drinking bars and night clubs in the country remain closed.

The move is in line with the social distancing protocol and ban on public gatherings across Ghana.

The ban on public gatherings has been in force since March 15, 2020.

It was introduced in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

Ghana has so far recorded 5,408 confirmed cases of coronavirus, 24 deaths and 514 recoveries.

President Nana Akufo-Addo on Sunday May 10, extended the ban on public gatherings to May 31.

Minister of Tourism, Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, in a directive for the hospitality sector, said food chains and restaurants including hotels can operate takeout and delivery.
