Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been acquitted of high-profile sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges but was convicted on two federal counts of transporting women across state lines for prostitution. The women involved include former partner Cassie Ventura and another identified only as “Jane.”

The ruling follows a tense six-week trial in federal court that captivated audiences and sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry. While the jury found insufficient evidence to convict Combs of sex trafficking under federal law, it ruled that he violated the Mann Act — a statute prohibiting the transport of individuals across state lines for illegal sexual activities.

Each count under the Mann Act carries a maximum sentence of 10 years, putting the 55-year-old mogul at risk of up to 20 years in prison. Sentencing is expected to take place in the coming months.

Cassie Ventura, who had previously settled a civil lawsuit against Combs, testified during the trial. In a post-verdict statement, she expressed gratitude for being heard and said she hopes to move forward with her life and family.

Diddy’s legal team has since filed for release on bail, citing his clean record and longstanding ties to the community. However, federal prosecutors are pushing back, emphasizing the gravity of the charges and the potential risk of flight.

Despite the partial acquittal, Combs still faces over 30 active civil lawsuits alleging various forms of sexual misconduct and abuse — cases that will likely shape the next chapter in the embattled mogul’s career.

This latest ruling marks a major turning point in one of the most dramatic legal battles in music industry history. As sentencing looms, all eyes remain on the next moves of Sean “Diddy” Combs — once hailed as hip-hop royalty, now battling to preserve his legacy.
