The Premier League are to undertake a major crackdown on coronavirus when the 2019/2020 season returns, reports say.
According to media reports in Britain, spitting, shirt swapping and team celebrations are to be “temporarily” outlawed when the season resumes possibly in June.
Efforts are being made to resume the season on June 12, to avoid what British media reports described as financial meltdown.
Spitting will also be on the prohibited list as the League seeks to prevent anymore Covid-19 cases among players, reports The Sun Sports.
The Telegraph reported that there will be strict sanctions in place in a bid to prevent any new Covid-19 cases among players, according to the Telegraph.
Stars will also be prohibited from sharing water bottles under measures to get football back under way, according to report.
Reports say the strigent measures could last for 12 months.
UK Prime, Boris Johnson, is expected to announce lockdown easing measures this coming Sunday.
