After a four year gap in the crowning of a new Miss Malawi, Nutritionist and employee of the Malawian Ministry of Health, 23 years old Cecilia Khofi outshined 13 other contestants to win the coveted Miss Malawi 2017 crown.
The pageant held at the Bingu International Conference Center with the theme “Managing Over Population and each of the contestants had to prove their beauty was with brains.
The Malawian first lady, Gertrude Mutharika and wife of the vice president, Saulos Chillma attended the event which was spiced up with performances by artists like Lulu, Great Angels Choir, Sangie to mention a few.
Cecilia promises to champion education of girls to help reduce over population in Malawi.
